Complete with Blind Exhibition Flair, insane Partying, Mixology Contest, Naked debauchery, Spirited dinner, Bikini Contest, Dj's, Drinking/learning you can handle...? LOL

The Bartenders Bash Series 2010 has begun... One of the largest hospitality events here in South Florida. The Flair bartending competition that started it all for myself and many others. One of the oldest Flair Bartending competitions running and a long time tradition that was passed down to me from a true Flair legend Bill Long. This multi venue event starts down at the original location where it all started... Holiday Isle in the Florida Keys May 9th - 11th 2010. Then we move to a new location June 7th - 8th 2010 at Bahia Cabana in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This multi-venue multi-date event is entirely based on "Freestyle Exhibition Flair" and competitors will accumulate points from both events to determine the overall Bartenders Bash Series winner.

Rock & Rita's is the world's newest flair bar, inside Circus Circus on the Las Vegas Strip. Rock & Rita's will aim to employ the best flair bartenders in the world. These bartenders must actively participate in flair competition and have a dynamic personality that suits Rock and Rita's high-energy environment.

Twenty world-class flair bartenders and two bar backs will be hired for the early April 2010 grand opening. Applicants for both positions will be carried through the same audition process, outlined below.

There is a possibility for partial visa sponsorship.

Interested parties need to submit a resume NOW and request for audition to David Rosborough General Manager by February 7th at drosborough@kahunaville.com

Timeline  

• Sunday February 7th - Last day for audition registration
• Sunday February 21st - First day of auditions, beginning at 5pm
• Monday February 22nd - First day of interviews, beginning at 10am
• Monday February 22nd - Auditions continue, beginning at 5pm. Some bartenders may be requested to perform a second audition.
• Tuesday February 23rd - Second day of interviews, beginning at 10am
• Tuesday February 23rd - Prospective bartenders will begin filming promotional videos in studio and on property video footage, beginning at 10am
• Tuesday February 23rd - All prospective employees will perform flair routine, beginning 10pm
• Wednesday February 24th - Prospective bartenders will begin filming promotional videos in studio and on property video footage, beginning at 10am
• Wednesday February 24th - All prospective Cast will perform flair routine, beginning 10pm
• Thursday February 25th - Prospective cast bartenders will begin filming promotional videos in studio and on property video footage, beginning at 10am

The first FBA Pro Tour event in Finland was a huge success in no small part to extremely professional and organized people who ran the event.  Timo “Timppa” Nyyssönen and his crew were top notch.  You can tell Timppa has watched a few well organized flair competitions in his day as the timing of the event was spot on as qualifiers finished within 2 minutes of the projected time!!  Well done Timppa!!

Helsinki was pretty much what I expected… friendly, clean, cool, with just a bit of rain.  What I did not expect was the sun to stay up until almost midnight!!  Then it peaks its head out again sometime around 5am again.  Crazy days in Finland with 19+ hours of sunshine.  Granted, that is just the summer time as winter is the opposite.

The venue for this event was world class.  Club Royal Onnela is the largest club in Helsinki and it has 9 themed bars/rooms to suite anyone’s tastes in music and fun.  While no room was perfect for a flair comp, they organizers did a fantastic job of figuring out where to put the stage.  If it wasn’t for this pesky support column at the corner of the stage, you know the one holding the building up, it would have been perfect.  The competitors had a practice room, food, drinks, and VIP access to the entire club.
